This sash is hand-made on a loom. Its design is a replica of the Coventry style sash which Louis Riel wore circa 1860. His original sash is currently on display at the Musee de Saint-Boniface Museum.
Coventry sashes were the most common from 1850 to the early 1900's.[lang2]Cette ceinture fléchée est faite à la main sur un métier utlisant de la laine. Le patron est une copie du style Conventry porté par Louis Riel pendant les anneés 1860.
